Luke
21: [25] And there shall be signs in the
sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations,
with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [26] Men's hearts
failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on
the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [27] And then shall
they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [28]
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your
heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Ozone Layer
This page deals with the 4th Trumpet and the 4th Vial. It is a composite of several studies from various parts from my five Websites.
4th Trumpet: And the fourth angel sounded the blast of a trumpet;
and the third part of the light, as the eastern sun, was inflicted and smitten
in a calamity; and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars,
as stretching across the sky; so as a result, the third part of them was
darkened and obscure; and the day did not shine for a third part of it, and the
night likewise in a similar manner. [Revelation 8:12].
Revelation 8:12–
4th trumpet – a
dramatic increase in worldwide volcanic activity, creates a dust haze over a
third of the earth.
04. This is a dramatic
increase of volcanic eruptions, producing towering ash clouds, surrounding one
third of the earths’ surface. The Saved are still on the earth.
4th Vial:
And the fourth angel poured out his broad shallow cup and vial upon
the light, of the rising sun in the east; and power was given unto him to
scorch human beings with fire. And human beings were burned and scorched with a
great and mighty burning, glowing heat; and they began to blaspheme and speak
evil and defame, the name of the very exceeding great God; who has the
authority, mastery and power over this stroke of a calamity and these plagues:
and they did not repent or think differently or reconsider to give Him glory,
honor and worshipful praise. [Rev. 16:8-9].
Revelation 16:8-9–
4th plague – destruction
of the ozone layer by volcanic activity, allowing penetration of ultraviolet
radiation causing a burning skin cancer.
Phase
Four:
6th Seal, 4th Trumpet, 4th Vial
[Rev. 6:14] And the
heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and
island were moved out of their places.
[Rev. 8:12] And the
fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third
part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them
was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night
likewise.
[Rev. 16:8-9] And the
fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to
scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the
name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give
him glory.
This is a two-roll Jewish scroll that
rolls together toward the center. As one looks upon an open scroll, much
writing is in full view of the reader’s eyes. However, as one slowly rolls the
two ends toward each other, the writing slowly but surely disappears from view
bit by bit--- and finally disappears completely when the two rolls meet. When
numerous volcanoes begin to erupt at the first trumpet, the upper stratosphere
will not immediately be filled with ash. It will take time but gradually the
suspended volcanic cloud bands of ash will roll themselves together --- and one
by one all the heavenly bodies will fade from view. The spread of volcanic
clouds in the stratosphere will occur in stages. When the fourth trumpet
sounds, the distribution of suspended ash will be such that at any given
location the heavenly bodies will only be visible about one-third of a
twenty-four-hour period. The complete filling of the earth’s atmosphere does
not occur until shortly after the fifth trumpet. By the last drop of the fourth
vial, the injection of volcanic hydrogen chloride by violent upward projection
will have virtually destroyed the ozone layer. Without this protective ozone
shield, ultraviolet radiation will pour down upon those left behind after the
Rapture. The beginning of skin cancer at the first vial will have reached
plague proportions by the fourth vial. Ultraviolet radiation is a scorching
fire as compared to the radiation we now receive from the sun at the earth’s
surface.
The ozone layer is a layer in Earth's atmosphere which contains relatively high concentrations of ozone (O3). This layer absorbs 97–99% of the sun's high frequency ultraviolet light, which is potentially damaging to life on earth.[1] It is mainly located in the lower portion of the stratosphere from approximately 13 km to 40 km above Earth, though the thickness varies seasonally and geographically.[2] The ozone layer was discovered in 1913 by the French physicists Charles Fabry and Henri Buisson. Its properties were explored in detail by the British meteorologist G. M. B. Dobson, who developed a simple spectrophotometer (the Dobsonmeter)
that could be used to measure stratospheric ozone from the ground.
Between 1928 and 1958 Dobson established a worldwide network of ozone
monitoring stations which continues to operate today. The "Dobson unit", a convenient measure of the columnar density of ozone overhead, is named in his honour.
The photochemical mechanisms that give rise to the ozone layer were discovered by the British physicist Sidney Chapman in 1930. Ozone in the Earth's stratosphere is created by ultraviolet light striking oxygen molecules containing two oxygen atoms (O2), splitting them into individual oxygen atoms (atomic oxygen); the atomic oxygen then combines with unbroken O2 to create ozone, O3.
The ozone molecule is also unstable (although, in the stratosphere,
long-lived) and when ultraviolet light hits ozone it splits into a
molecule of O2 and an atom of atomic oxygen, a continuing process called the ozone-oxygen cycle, thus creating an ozone layer in the stratosphere,
the region from about 10 to 50 km (32,000 to 164,000 feet) above
Earth's surface. About 90% of the ozone in our atmosphere is contained
in the stratosphere. Ozone concentrations are greatest between about 20
and 40 km, where they range from about 2 to 8 parts per million.
Although the concentration of the ozone in the ozone layer is very
small, it is vitally important to life because it absorbs biologically
harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation coming from the Sun. UV radiation is
divided into three categories, based on its wavelength; these are
referred to as UV-A (400–315 nm), UV-B (315–280 nm), and UV-C
(280–100 nm). UV-C, which would be very harmful to all living things, is
entirely screened out by ozone at around 35 km altitude. UV-B radiation
can be harmful to the skin and is the main cause of sunburn; excessive exposure can also cause genetic damage, resulting in problems such as skin cancer.
The ozone layer is very effective at screening out UV-B; for radiation
with a wavelength of 290 nm, the intensity at the top of the atmosphere
is 350 million times stronger than at the Earth's surface. Nevertheless,
some UV-B reaches the surface. Most UV-A reaches the surface; this
radiation is significantly less harmful, although it can potentially
cause genetic damage.
The thickness of the ozone layer—that is, the total amount of ozone
in a column overhead—varies by a large factor worldwide, being in
general smaller near the equator and larger towards the poles. It also
varies with season, being in general thicker during the spring and
thinner during the autumn in the northern hemisphere. The reasons for
this latitude and seasonal dependence are complicated, involving
atmospheric circulation patterns as well as solar intensity.
Since stratospheric ozone is produced by solar UV radiation, one
might expect to find the highest ozone levels over the tropics and the
lowest over polar regions. The same argument would lead one to expect
the highest ozone levels in the summer and the lowest in the winter. The
observed behavior is very different: most of the ozone is found in the
mid-to-high latitudes of the northern and southern hemispheres, and the
highest levels are found in the spring, not summer, and the lowest in
the autumn, not winter in the northern hemisphere. During winter, the
ozone layer actually increases in depth. This puzzle is explained by the
prevailing stratospheric wind patterns, known as the Brewer-Dobson circulation.
While most of the ozone is indeed created over the tropics, the
stratospheric circulation then transports it poleward and downward to
the lower stratosphere of the high latitudes. However in the southern
hemisphere, owing to the ozone hole
phenomenon, the lowest amounts of column ozone found anywhere in the
world are over the Antarctic in the southern spring period of September
and October.
The ozone layer is higher in altitude in the tropics, and lower in
altitude in the extratropics, especially in the polar regions. This
altitude variation of ozone results from the slow circulation that lifts
the ozone-poor air out of the troposphere into the stratosphere. As
this air slowly rises in the tropics, ozone is produced by the overhead
sun which photolyzes oxygen molecules. As this slow circulation bends
towards the mid-latitudes, it carries the ozone-rich air from the
tropical middle stratosphere to the mid-and-high latitudes lower
stratosphere. The high ozone concentrations at high latitudes are due to
the accumulation of ozone at lower altitudes. |
